Valerie has been much prayed over these past months.  Now our prayers will turn to surrounding you.  May you continue to sense God's presence and love.  He knows well the death of a child.  He welcomed your child into His loving arms.  Praying for you today and the days ahead as you begin this new part of the journey.

I am so sorry and share your families grief in your loss of Valerie, but also rejoice with the Angels as they have taken her home to be with our Father in Heaven.  Valerie is forever healed and whole, where there is no more pain,suffering or sorrow.  Oh, what a day of rejoicing it will be, when we too one day reunite with our loved ones and meet our Lord and Saviour face to face for the grandest of family reunions.  This however, cannot take away the sorrow you feel at this moment.  You said it best, "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord".  And...yes, we can take God at His Word.  Please, know we will continue to hold your family up in prayer during this time of sorrow and in the day to come.  Kennedy, I want you to know how much your Mommie's life has touched so many and always remember how very precious and much your Mommie loved you.               

Sharon, again may I say, this side of heaven we may never know those whom your lives have touched and forever changed as you, Gene and Valerie have shared your faith and trust in our Lord.  I feel blessed to have been a part of Valerie's journey with you.  Love your sister in Christ, Linda

Val had such quiet strength.  She taught me that you can truly endure more than you think you can.  And she handled all of her latest struggles with such grace.  I am so thankful that God placed us together in high school, and then blessed me with the privilege of knowing her even better this last year.  She loved her family with all of her heart, but most of all, she loved God more than anything.  Thank you Val, for the example of a gentle and quiet spirit.  I will miss you!

Boe and I were blessed to have you in our church service before the surgery and it was a privilege to pray for Valerie. Linda Wheeler has been so kind to keep us updated. We are sorry for your loss, but she is truly Heaven's gain. Please know our prayers are with you and your family. 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

We had the privilege of having Phillip & Valerie in our life group several years ago.  We very much enjoyed our time w/ each of them.  We learned of Val's condition about a year & 1/2 ago, and she & Phillip have been in our thoughts & prayers throughout their tough journey.  Although we are sad to let her go into God's hands, we are forever happy that she is free of pain & not confined in body anymore.

Our thoughts & prayers will be w/her family during this difficult time.  It seems that the family is at peace knowing that Val is in a much better place, and we take comfort in that.  She will be missed but not forgotten.

Thank you for the wonderful example to us all that you have been of the self-sacrificing love of a mother, a sister, and a family.  We pray for you as we all say goodbye to Valerie (for now) that God will comfort you and give you peace and joy in the midst of your tears.  Her life, her smile, her joyful spirt were such an incredibly beautiful light in this dark world.  We will all miss her terribly.
