No words can express |
March 31, 2009 |
No words can express how much Val was loved by all who met her. She was such a beautiful, outgoing, strong Christian girl. Our hearts go out to your whole family. May our Lord hold you in his comforting arms and give you joy in your hearts, knowing that Valerie has received her complete healing. She is running through the fields and praising her Savior. Your family has been such a witness to the rest of the world because of God's grace that you have shown through all of this. You are in our prayers. We love you.

My heart just aches with your family right now as we must say goodbye for awhile to such a precious person. What a blessing Val's faithfulness to her God has been through it all and to the very end. Thank you for the consistent testimony of faithfulness that poured out from your family throughout these past months. We're rejoicing with you in the peace of God's presence that Val is experiencing now and the perfect rest she longed for.
We'll all miss Val.
And we'll be praying for you.
With love,
Bobby and Jenny (Sisney) Wood

A mother's love |

Dearest Sharon - One mother to another mother. Only one love is stronger than the love a mother has for her child and that is the love our Lord has for each of us. He has opened his arms to accept Valerie and he is opening his arms to confort you and the family. Let him surround you with his love. Marti

New Beginnings |
March 31, 2009 |
Val has finished her journey now and waits for the rest of her friends and family to get there. She will be missed, more than I can imagine, but God's Grace will give you answers when you may not even know it. Our hearts are heavy for you today, yet uplifted at the same time knowing she is not suffering anymore. She was a special person you will only meet a few times in a lifetime, and our lives are better for having had her in them. God's speed and comfort until we all meet again.
We love you and all of our best to all of you,
Todd, Jen, Alex and Koyt

My Tears |
March 31, 2009 |
We met you though a mutual friend. Your family became so dear to us. I loved getting to know you, Sharon, Gene, Val and the rest of the family. You gave me such faith, because of all your strength and faith. My tears are coming this morning. I understood one day, I might come to the computer and read these words, but I prayed this would never happen - not for a very long time. I wish I could be there to give hugs. You gave so much to Val and I admire that in you, Sharon and Gene. Val has given so much to all of us that met her, even for a short time, such strength and wisdom and knowledge how to fight the battle, but always with such great faith. I keep thinking about the past 20 months and knowing they were a blessing for you all, giving Kennedy more time with her mom and building memories for you all.
Love to you all. May the Lord bless you and ease the pain for you in the days ahead.

Her greatest gift |
March 31, 2009 |
Valerie was a champion in the eyes of all who knew her. Her strength gave so many the will and want to be like her. She was a wonderful witness to her faith and her example of her life has touched so many that will be ongoing. I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful life and testiment to what a person should be. I pray the family will find comfort in knowing the greatest gift they could give in this life was Valerie. The world is a better place for her just having passed through here. If there is anything you need just let me know. love you all.

I envision Val running to meet her Savior on legs that are strong, healthy, beautiful and complete. Her face is transformed with love and joy as she beholds the face of the One she has served so faithfully. She plays the piano to accompany the heavenly choir as they worship Him. No machines attached to her, no nerve damage-just a body that is as complete and beautiful as her spirit. Heaven is a brighter place today for her presence! We grieve for our loss, but we rejoice for our beautiful, precious Val.

With a heavy heart I write BUT.... God is still working for the good of your whole family. Even while I don't understand His will always. I am happy for Val to be VAD free in heaven and resting at the feet of Christ or dancing in praise around the throne! Val will be missed and she was dearly loved! Thank God for the extra 20 months no matter how difficult they were. She was such a joy to care for and she brightened my day every time I worked.
The whole family will be in my prayers
